Beta General LLC is a sole proprietor limited liability company formed in 2009 to provide technical and program management consulting.

The owner, Mr Rene Thibodeaux completed his B.S. in Phyics from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) in 1979 and his M.S. in Electrical Power Systems (Electrical Engineering) Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1983. He worked at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) as an Electrical Engineer until retiring in 2008.  At AFRL, he managed 27 power electronic technology development projects and aerospace electrical power system programs, including several multi-million dollar programs that explored high frequency resonant power converters for space based radar power distribution, high voltage pulsed power systems for high power microwaves, and magnetohydrodynamic generators for hypersonic vehicles.  His also managed a program to develop thermionic converters for a space solar concentrators.
